Chapter Content

Chapter1: Learning The Basics
The video starts with the basics, the different tools of Adobe Photoshop. One by one we go through the tools you will need to create a composition and learn how to use them and the tricks associated with each tool. Full demonstrations are given and viewers can follow along with the included work along files. Tools learned include move, lasso, selection, crop, Eye Dropper, healing, paint bucket, text and magnifying tools to name a few.
Chapter 2: Layers & Enhancement Tools
This chapter demonstrates how to use and apply layers to a document. Step by step we work together with the supplied work along files to create multiple layers and learn how to use these layers to create the effects we need in our composition. This chapter also instructs on the use of such 'effect' tools like the healing tool, paint bucket, gradation tool, correcting levels, color correction and vibrance. The chapter finishes up with instruction on how to create a 'misted' look to a reference photo.
Chapter 3: Creating A Composition
Now that the participant is familiar with the tools and toys of Adobe Photoshop or Photoshop Elements we move on to creating a full composition form multiple reference shots that are supplied. We learn how to cut from one reference photo to another and blend the two together. We also learn how to scale isolated objects and replicate textures from one area to another. Instruction is given on how to 'highlight' areas in our composition so we can create consistent lighting.
Chapter 4: Cloning And Saving
In this chapter we learn how to isolate areas and 'save selection' the area for future use. We also learn how to combine save options to speed up our workflow through the use of saved channels. When then use this new information to create mountains in our background through the use of cloning and saved channels. This technique is one of my most used ones when creating my compositions with Photoshop.
Chapter 5: Changing The Composition
Our final chapter instructs on how to make changes to your composition and be able to view the changes in real time. We also learn how to use our brush tool to create mountain mist in our compositions back ground. The chapter wraps up with a tutorial on how to use the 'artist' filters in Photoshop/Elements to smooth out our composition and blend it all together.
